I am an electrical/audio engineer living in Pittsburgh, PA. I graduated from Carnegie
Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer
Engineering and a minor in Audio Engineering. Since 2009 I have been employed at
Edward Simon and Company, a small company
specializing in the design and fabrication of custom, large-scale sound systems, such as those in
football stadiums, performing arts centers, and sports arenas. In between large jobs we do smaller
installations and maintenance locally at churches, schools, and municipal buildings. I also work as
a music producer and recording engineer, running a small recording studio out of my house called
Trinity Island Studio.
In addition to recording engineering, I do some live sound engineering. For nine years I was the
primary front of house sound engineer and I am still a co-owner of
Spirit, a bar, pizza shop, venue, and event
space in Lawrenceville. I still occasionally freelance as a live sound engineer for local bands and
venues. Outside of work my hobbies include listening to
music, making music (I play bass, guitar,
and drums),
photography (film and digital), electronics (audio related
and microcontrollers), enjoying beer and whiskey, shooting my firearms, and spending time with
my friends and family.
